Dudhsagar Falls
The Barehipani falls is
one of the highest falls in India. The water cascades from a height of 1,309
feet. The fall is actually two-tiered and the second drop of the water fall is
from a height of about 850 feet. This scenic waterfall is located in the state
of Orissa. The waters of the Budhabalanga River flow through the Meghasuni
Mountain before taking a huge leap and creating a picturesque scene.
A short trek through the
mountains leads you to the Khandahar falls, which is situated about 104
kilometers from Rourkela, in Orissa. A beautiful and ethereal stream, with the
strange name of Korapani, takes a plunge from a height of about 800 feet to the
valley below in a single drop. The waterfall looks like a horse’s tail from
afar and hence is classified as a horse tail type waterfall. The area is a
lovely place for a family picnic in pristine environs.
This serene and enchanting waterfall is located in the beautiful
and verdant vicinity of Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh. The falls lie at a
distance of about 11 kilometers from Dharamshala and paints a pretty picture as

must. The fall comes into its own during the monsoon seasons as
a stream of water meanders over undulating hills to fall down into the ravines.
The Bear Shola falls is situated about 2 kilometers from Kodaikanal. Forest
falls usually offer a handful of scenic and tranquil moments away from the
cacophony of the urban jungle.
This spectacular falls is situated in Shimoga district of
Karnataka. It is ranked 13th in the world and
is one of India’s highest waterfalls. The Sharavathi River plunges from a
height of about 830 feet. This river flows through rocky terrain before
cascading dramatically over a chasm. A flight of about 1400 steps takes one
down the hill to the base of the falls, where the view is spectacular.
When you travel from
Mumbai to Pune, you cross the beautiful Lonavala-Khandala valley, where the
Western Ghats come alive in all their natural finery. Small and big rivulets
flow across rocky paths and birds melodiously sing the glory of nature as rain

the Kune Falls which is a three-tiered water fall having a combined height of
about 660 feet.
When in the vintage hill station of
Darjeeling, in West Bengal, as the
